Winter sports enthusiasts will find three skiing areas: Breuil-Cervinia is nicely located and is the highest skiing area in Italy. It always is covered in snow and has around 200 km of ski slopes. The second area is Courmayeur, a village at the foot of the Mont Blanc. It has a lively town centre with various après-ski facilities and good restaurants. And last but not least there is Monte Rosa, a peaceful area with breathtaking views. Ideal for families and beginners, which means you can get straight to the slopes from your cottage in the 'Valle d’Aosta'!
