Water sports enthusiasts find what they want in the Meuse region: you can sail, wind surf, kayak and water-ski here. And you can make great walks in this region. In the Mines region you will be confronted with the mining history of the region.
The Voer region is situated between Maastricht and Liege, a unique part of Flanders. This region consists of six picturesque villages: Moelingen, 's-Gravenvoeren, Sint-Martens-Voeren, Sint-Pieters-Voeren, Teuven and Remersdaal. The landscape is undulating, with extended forests, pastures, rivers, typical workshops and here and there a castle or a farm. You will enjoy the quiet and nature here, from our cottages in Limburg. Taste one of the unique local produce such as homemade apple- and pear syrup, berry schnapps, Rick's cherry beer, wine, Herve cheese and royal cake during a cycling trip. If you want to nip into town, go to Liege, Maastricht or Aachen.
Limburg is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, and benefits from an extended cycling routes network through nature areas, along water, orchards, pastures, forests and heaths. In the Limburg Campines you will find dunes, forests, fens and heaths. In March 2006 the National Park Hoge Kempen was opened here, the first national park in Flanders. Perfect for walking, if you wish to leave your cottage in Limburg for a breath of fresh air. The Haspengouw district is the famous flower region, where the well known flower festival "Bloesemfeesten" is held. For the water sport fanatics there's Maasland with sailing, wind surfing, kayaking and water skiing. It's also a great region for walking. A region really worth discovering.
