Zealand

Sealand, the Royal Island

Sealand is characterised by a variety of nature areas and is surrounded by an enormous coastline and miles of sandy beaches which are some of the cleanest and most ‘child-friendly’ beaches in Europe. Forests, natural bird reserves and impressive chalk cliffs are also to be found here. The diverse nature of Sealand is undoubtedly worth visiting. The largest lakes and wooded areas are in the northern part of Sealand, which is also where you’ll find the old, impressive castles. From the holiday homes in Sealand you can discover the whole island.

Cottages Sealand, enjoy magnificent nature

You can also visit the impressive Stevns Klint in the southern part of Sealand and the area around the Kattegat and the Isefjord. This is made up of a varied landscape with beautiful beaches, striking cliffs and the flat Lammefjord and forest area.

The long coastline of Sealand is ideal for the water sport enthusiast who is into surfing, sailing, diving or swimming.

Sealand also has a number of golf courses, making it a true oasis for golfers. Anglers and sport fishers will also have a great time, as they can go fishing in the sea, the fjords, the rivers and the many lakes.

Holiday homes Sealand, for cultural holidays

Sealand possesses a rich cultural heritage and an interesting history which spans thousands of years. You can admire the historical buildings and visit the museums, which will give you an idea of what it must have been like in Viking times.

A visit from your cottage in Sealand to the capital of Copenhagen should of course be part of your stay in the province of Sealand. This city dates from the Middle Ages and has now grown into a true metropolis. The old inner city with its cobblestone-paved streets has a warm atmosphere all its own. In terms of culture, there are galleries, museums, music and theatre. The longest shopping street in Europe, 'Strøget', also winds through the centre of the city.

Places such as Gilleleje and Holbæk also have a lot to offer. You can enjoy shopping and the many cultural offerings and the special atmosphere of any one of the area’s inviting harbours. The cottages in Sealand are a perfect starting point for an excursion to one of these nice spots.
