This villa is in the south-east of the wonderful island of Crete. The villa enjoys beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and is just 600 metres from a sandy beach. The holiday home is near the village of Makry Gialos and is built on a slope. This contributes to the villa's delightful views. The holiday home is in its own grounds of 1,000 m2. It will comfortably accommodate a large family or a number of couples. There is a spacious terrace and a balcony/roof terrace. The balcony/roof terrace enjoys superb views of an olive grove, distant mountains and Makry Gialos Bay. The villa is perfect for sun and beach lovers. A short 600 metre walk will take you to Lagada Beach. This quiet, sandy beach is almost 1.5 kilometres long. There are a number of smaller beaches in the surrounding area. You could have a beach entirely to yourself outside peak season. The village of Makry Gialos is around three kilometres away. It has an attractive small boulevard, a fishing harbour, tavernas and bars. You can enjoy numerous walking routes through picturesque valleys and gorges here. The island's historic sites including Knossos and Heraklion are well worth a visit. You'll find excavations and historic sites nearer by from the Minoan civilization up to Venetian times.
