Description
In a very quiet little village in the heart of the Hautes Fagnes Natural Park and its ski areas, this charming cottage has been renovated with great care. You will have a reserved entrance and private parking, as well as various terraces. This is where you can enjoy a wellness, and a Nordic bath to top off your stay (for a fee).
Cyclists are welcome: they can put their bikes in the shelter of the garden. In front of this cozy little nest, a playground and a football pitch will delight the youngest. There is a small shop with regional products in the village. The place is ideal for skiing in winter, and for enjoying the nearby lakes in summer: Only 7 minutes away is the beach: VENNtastic Beach. There is a Christmas market nearby.
The Christmassy old town with its half-timbered facades, 3 large Christmas trees and Christmas lights that look like a starry sky create the romantic ambience that makes the Monschau Christmas market so popular. Opening hours: all 4 Advent weekends from November 29th to December 22nd, 2024, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The whirlpool and outdoor wood-fired bath will make you forget the stress of everyday life. Then, languish on a lounge chair on the wooden deck; you can listen to birdsong. It is the ideal place for holidays under the sign of well-being and healing
Inside, the decoration is very neat and varies according to the season. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, and the two bedrooms are very comfortable.
An ideal place to recharge your batteries and enjoy relaxation options that you will never want to leave!

It was a very pretty nice tidy house in nice quiet surrounding. We had the luck of having some snow during our stay, so every walk in the forest (that was perfect nearby) was a gift for Christmas this year.
The lady of the house was so friendly and everything was arranged as promised and discussed on forehand.
Lovely place, also for dog owners.

We had a fantastic stay in Hünningen, a quiet little village in 'Ostbelgien'.
We stayed in a little, very cosy house, neat and nicely decorated - the 2 of us and the dog felt right at home, also because of the separate garden with view to a pasture. At night it is very quiet so you sleep well but also because of the excellent (electronically adjustable) bed and duvet.
The kitchen is well equipped with quality items and there is a map with a lot of options for walks & restaurants etc in the area.
The spa-area (very nice & new sauna and hottub) was the icing on the cake, you do have to pay for it separately and in full for the whole stay.
The owner is a very friendly and cooperative, helpful lady who speaks several languages, she lives next door but this doesn't feel annoying.
And of course the area is stunning, even in February with shaky weather.
We will certainly go back there again. This was one of the best houses we have been in.

De cottage ligt in een schattig stil dorpje/gehucht. De cottage is met grote zorg voor kwaliteit verbouwd en met oog voor detail heel gerieflijk en gezellig ingericht. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. De eigenaresse ontvangt je hartelijk. Leuk en verzorgd tuintje ook.
