Description

Get to know this 18th century (former) hunting lodge! Surrounded by a lovely wooded park, in the countryside and 2,5 km away from Valognes, sometimes referred to as the Versailles of Normandy. This characteristic vacation home sits on a property with age old trees and a private driveway. On the large walled courtyard you have a south-west facing terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. You will have more than enough privacy! The house has a classic interior decorated and a great atmosphere. There is a foosball table in the basement. The living room has a TV, DVD and several board games. On rainy days you can have a great time indoors! You are on the peninsula of Cotentin. You must remember to pay a visit to the D-Day beaches (18 km).

This is where the Allies landed in 1944. Visit the famous Airborne museum in Sainte-Mère-Église (20 km). This place is famous for the parachutist doll hanging off the church tower, a memorial to parachutist John Steele, who was caught on the church steeple on D-Day. The seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret is worth a visit; from the harbour you can take the boat to the Channel Islands Jersey and Guernsey.

Great location to visit normandy. Nice and clean old cottage. All things needed for a vacation where on site. Garden is well closed so the dog could safely be in the well maintained garden.

Fantastisch huis, oorspronkelijk 18e eeuws, maar van binnen van alle gemakken voorzien. Prijs/kwaliteit is dik in orde. Grote, afgesloten tuin, erg prettig voor de hond, en in de omgeving veel te zien. Van de D-Day stranden tot enorme kliffen.

Fantastic house, originally 18th century, but fully equipped inside. Price/quality is fine. Large, enclosed garden, very pleasant for the dog, and much to see in the area. From the D-Day beaches to huge cliffs.
