About this home
This more than 200 year old farmhouse has been converted into a luxury villa that can accommodate up to 16 adults, but is also perfectly equipped for several families with children. The villa consists of two connected wings, both with a living room and kitchen.
The house is situated on a 10-hectare (100,000 m²) estate of forest and grassland, offering complete privacy and the opportunity for an active walk on your own private grounds. You can pick fruit from one of the many fruit trees and spot wildlife in your backyard. If you prefer to enjoy a glass of wine on the sunny terrace, that is of course also possible.
Furthermore, this villa is equipped with every luxury. For example, you have a large swimming pool with a shallow (1.0m) and a deep (2.0m) part, various seating areas and sun beds in the beautiful garden, a large BBQ and a jeu-de-boules court. The children do not have to be bored either, because next to the swimming pool there are plenty of toys, a ping-pong table and an endless garden to play football.
The beautiful medieval village of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande is a 5-minute drive away. The walled village was founded in 1255 on the banks of the Dordogne and has since hosted a large market every Saturday selling fresh local produce. The Dordogne River is ideal for a variety of water sports including canoeing, boat trips and swimming. The villa is a 30-minute drive from Saint-Émilion and Bergerac, surrounded by endless wine chateaux, most of which organise fun wine tastings.

We had a wonderful stay here. It's an amazing villa in a beautiful location surrounded by nature and that comes fully equipped with anything you would need during your holidays. The interior of the house is very nicely done, with lots of comfort and the garden offer plenty of shade and places to dream away during a hot summer day. The nearby villages and wine chateaus are also very nice to go and visit.

Wat een verrassing! Het heeft er door de Corona crisis om gespannen: kan onze gezamenlijke vakantieweek met 11 kinderen en kleinkinderen in dat mooie en ruime huis in de Dordogne wel doorgaan? Gelukkig wel. En we hebben een week lang met elkaar genoten in deze geweldige woning. Wat een ruimte voor zo’n groot gezelschap, gelegen in een prachtige, rustige omgeving midden in de natuur. Voorzien van alle gemakken, faciliteiten, een fijn zwembad en met oog voor allerlei details waaronder een schat aan speelgoed voor de jongsten. Onze waardering voor de wijze waarop in de woning nieuw op natuurlijke wijze is verweven met oud tot een fraai en modern geheel, dat beantwoordt aan onze hoge verwachtingen. Dat geldt zeker ook voor de inrichting van het huis in klassieke en toch ook moderne stijl. Geweldig die gastvrijheid die we met volle teugen hebben mogen genieten.

We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door Maité. We hebben genoten van onze heerlijke vakantie in dit rustgevend en prachtige huis. Het is een zeer groot huis met voldoende privacy en het huis ligt op zo'n 100 meter van de weg, waardoor je geen last hebt van buren.

We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen door Maité. Na de rondleiding door het huis, bezorgde ze ons nog enkele leuke bezienswaardigheden uit de buurt. Het is een zeer groot huis met voldoende privacy voor meerdere gezinnen. Het huis ligt op zo'n 100 meter van de weg en er zijn geen buren.

This was a wonderful property to spend a fabulous two weeks in. We were welcomed by Maitie who gave a tour of the house and also popped in during our styrofoam ensure all was well. So much thought has gone into making this an ideal property to rent. Care and attention has been used in every detail. The kitchen is fabulous for large groups and so well stocked - the outside area and pool are spacious with glorious views - wonderful to see deer and birds. The garden is so pretty with fruit trees and flowers abundant. I don’t think I have had a more comfortable nights sleep the beds are all of an extremely high standard as are are all the fixtures and fittings. I couldn’t recommend this property highly enough- thank you for a wonderful holiday.
