Description
In Svinsjön's Holiday Home area in the nature reserve Marvikarna is this cottage. Here you have hiking trails and several lakes and streams around the cottage corner. The cottage has plenty of space for a party of six people (4 adults, 2 children as the bunkbed is shorter than usual), with two separate bedrooms and a guest cottage with a double bed. A living room with a large and cozy sofa where you can relax in front of the TV. The bathroom is equipped with shower/ wc and also a washing machine. At the front of the cottage in the best sun position there is a large terrace with space for both dining table and sun loungers. You have around 4,000 meters down to Marviken. No motorized boats are allowed on the lakes within the nature reserve, which makes the lake area very idyllic and peaceful.
The famous canoe trail between Lake Mälaren and Vagnhärad passes through the reserves and canoes can be rented in, for example, Åkers Styckebruk. Fishing is allowed, but fishing licenses are required. The area actually consists of two nature reserves, Krampan and Marvikarna. For visitors interested in birds, geology, ancient monuments and flora, there is plenty to see. Hiking-friendly forest roads and paths are located adjacent to both Svinsjön and Körnstorp holiday home areas. You can connect to Sörmanlandsleden where one of the stages passes between Marviken on the way to Skottvångs mine. To Mariefred it is about 13 km and there is everything for the shopping enthusiast and is a perfect excursion destination with its beautiful old wooden buildings, Mariefred is classified as one of the country's best preserved wooden cities.
