Gaschurn (979 m) and Partenen (1051 m) are two lovely and traditional Austrian mountain villages in the Hochmontafon area. They are located around 4 km from each other and fall under the Silvretta Nova skiing area. The villages have a number of shops for buying basic necessities, as well as a few restaurants and bars. There is a bus connection between the two. There is also a winter hiking trail and cross-country ski track between Gaschurn and Partenen and between Gaschurn and Gortipohl. Gaschurn has its own ski school at the valley station, with a NOVI Kids and NOVI Bambini Club.
