Cross-country skiers can take advantage of the Talloipe Stubai, one of the longest tracks in Stubaital (56 km), or the 2 km-long high-altitude track (2600 m) on the Stubaier Glacier. There are 12 prepared toboggan runs in Stubaital. The longest toboggan run is the 8 km-long (illuminated 3 days a week) Elfer run that runs from the Elfer mountain station to the centre of Neustift! With its 8 km-long track, the Pinnistal natural toboggan run is the longest natural toboggan run in Tirol and runs from the Elfer mountain station through the idyllic Pinnistal to Neder. The Schlick2000 ski resort has a 5 km-long toboggan run that descends from Schlickeralm via the Froneben mid-station to the valley station. The Stubaier Glacier (up to 3150 m) has a 100% snow guarantee from October to June. Here skiers can enjoy 24 ski lifts and 110 km of slopes for every level of skier. Snowboarders and freestylers will find plenty of action at the Stubai Zoo Fun Park. There is even a special, extra wide slope for families and senior skiers on the Daunferner Stubai Glacier. You will also find a speed track here. There is a 2 km-long track at the Gamsgarten station at an altitude of 2600 m, where you can also take a winter hike to the Eisgrat mountain station higher up. Another option is the Schlick2000 ski resort (1000-2240 m) in Fulpmes, which calls itself a varied family ski resort with slopes for every level and lots of reasons to take a break. Here you will find the longest valley descent in the Stubaital, with snow canons, a Fun Park, Kinderland and speed track. Other activities include cross-country skiing, tobogganing and paragliding! A short distance away, in Mieders, you will find yet another family-friendly ski resort called Serlesbahnen Mieders, with 8 km of broad slopes, the highest cross-country track in Tirol and a natural toboggan run. Neustift itself has a mini ski resort called Elfer (11-er Lifte Neustift). This small and sunny ski resort also has steeper descents for more ambitious skiers. For a unique and memorable experience, go nighttime tobogganing on the 8 km-long illuminated toboggan run. You can also explore the romantic surroundings of Elfer while on a winter walk.
