The winter sports destination Oberstaufen is situated in the southern part of Germany, near the Bodensee and the adjacent Austrian Alps. You can make great descents from your chalet on the pistes of Oberstaufen. And in the valley you can enjoy a bite to eat or a drink in one of the many cafes.
Oberstaufen does not belong to the largest ski regions of Germany, but to the best ! The pistes on the Hochgrat (1832 m) are definitely worth a visit. This also is true for the world cup piste on the Hündle, but you will need some experience here. The village of 7000 inhabitants has also adapted to the growing number of langlaufers. There are 120 km prepared loipes in the region, a night loipe and a langlauf centre. You have direct access to a 60 km long marathon loipe from the Alpsee to the Waldsee.
More than 60 km of walking paths have been cleaned of snow, which makes walking a lovely relaxation. The lifts bring you, with or without skis, up the mountain for sunbathing, walking or making a descent via 35km long, mechanically prepared pistes which are suitable for beginners and experienced skiers alike.
And in the spa park you can get on your skates. A romantic sleigh trip will be a memory to cherish and evenings around the open fire are guaranteed to make you forget the worries of daily life!
