The Romantic Route ends in the Bavarian Alps, in the town of Füssen, and includes fairytale castle Sloß Neuschwanstein and the beautiful Schwangau, the village of royal castles! One of the oldest routes in Germany is the Alpine route. This 450 km long route stretches from Lindau (on Lake Constance) to Berchtesgaden, and surprises the holidaymaker with changing landscapes; green alpine meadows, forests, rolling hills and steep peaks, with romantic valleys and glistening lakes in between.
