Ibiza is an island belonging to the Spanish Balearic islands. The Balearics are located east of the Spanish mainland in the Mediterranean Sea. With Formentera, Ibiza is the most southern island of the group and these two islands are at approximately 7 km from each other. The islands are also called the pine tree islands and Ibiza's nickname is ‘Isla Blanca’, because of its many white houses. The island is 41 km long and 20km wide with a coastline of 120km.
