Menorca is the second largest island of the Spanish island group the Balearics, located in the Mediterranean Sea. The capital is Mahón and the international airport of Menorca is at +/- 5 km. lower. This magnificent island is worth a visit! This island is still relatively quiet in comparison with the better known Ibiza and Majorca. Book a holiday house on Menorca and enjoy sun, sea and beautiful nature!

Enjoy Menorca from your Belvilla holiday house on the seaside! The island's coastline is more than 200 km. long, with rocky cliffs alternating with beautiful sandy (or pebble) beaches, small bays and coves (calas), on a clear blue sea. Natural Menorca: Holiday in a bio-atmosphere reserve

During your stay in one of our holiday homes on Menorca you will enjoy the unspoilt nature! Menorca was nominated a bio-atmosphere reserve (Reserva de la Biosfera) by UNESCO in 1993, for its (underground) caves, ravines, marshes, lagoons and dunes which shelter special flora and fauna. The most protected part of the island is the Nature reserve of Albufera d'Es Grau, Illa d'en Colom and Cap de Favàritx, on the east coast. Albufera d'Es Grau is even a Special Bird Protection Area (ZEPA).

Active excursions on Menorca from your holiday house

The beaches and the nature obviously are worth a visit, but Menorca has a lot more to offer! Take a tour of the island from your holiday home. You will find interesting Megalithic monuments of 3 various types: Talayots, Navetas and Taulas. One of the most characteristic monuments of the Bronze age on Menorca is Naveta des Tudons (in the proximity of Ciutadella). The highest point of Menorca is the Monte Toro (354 meter). The monastery of the Holy Virgin of Toro is located at the top, also worth a visit! The island also has forts, like the tower of Fornells. A nice way to discover the coastline and the hidden coves is a boat trip!

Sporty Menorca

Of course you will be able to enjoy various water sports on Menorca, and in the larger beach resorts you can hire all sorts. Golfers can go to the only golf course of the island, Son Parc Golf Club, on the north coast. And an excellent way to enjoy nature is walking of course. The possibilities are endless, and every walker will find a route he/she likes (for example the route Punta Nati - Cala Morell. A route which follows the coastline, over rocky terrains and along bays).

In short, make an excursion from our holiday homes and discover Menorca!
