At 1.5 km from AlpChalets Portes du Soleil, you will find the skiingarea of La Chapelle d'Abondance. This skiing area is ideal for beginners and families and is directly connected to the huge skiing area of Les Portes du Soleil. A stone's throw from La Chapelle (on the French side), you will find many beautiful old skiing villages such as Châtel (12 km), Les Gets (32 km), Morzine (27 km) and futuristic Avoriaz (39 km). On the Swiss side: Champéry (30 km) and Morgins (20 km). Each Alpine village has its own character. Thanks to the snow security of Les Portes du Soleil, skiing and snowboarding fun is guaranteed from beginner to experienced winter sports enthusiast.
