In the midst of this green landscape you'll the De Tolplas recreation park. Not far from the park you'll find the Sallandse Heuvelrug, a beautiful region with rolling heaths and extensive forests. Don't forget to bring your bike, or hire one on the park. The area is perfect for beautiful excursions. Go shopping for a day in Almelo or Enschede, or take your kids to Adventure Park Hellendoorn or the covered playgrounds in Almelo and Borne. For golf lovers, there is an 18 hole golf course in Hoge Hexel, and one in Wierden. Spread out of the park there are various types of chalets and bungalows. In the heart of the park there is a large recreation lake, where you can swim and fish. The park has a tennis court, a boules pitch, table tennis and a play fort with sandbox for the littlest guests.

Specifics
- If your housepet is not requested, access to the park and the booked accomodation may be refused upon arrival. To arrange this, contact the customer service center by phone.
- Reservations made by companies for their own employees are always by request. If the reservation is approved, the following rules will apply: max. 1 employee per bedroom, an extra cleaning cost will be billed every two weeks, and every two weeks there will be a charge for new bed linen.
- Pets are not allowed in the recreational lake.
- The restaurant will be closed at monday and tuesday

Bleek gerookt te zijn in het huisje wat bestemd is voor "niet roken". Ook was de vloer erg smerig. Niet eens een stofzuiger doorheen gehaald.. We hebben een kleine die volop aan het kruipen is, dus een iets schonere vloer was wel fijn geweest

Het 'Twents Buitenverblijf' was een compleet ingerichte woning en van alle gemakken voorzien. Vooral het privé strandje werd op prijs gesteld. Het was tevens sfeervol ingericht en verlicht. Het enige minpuntje was de krappe indeling van een slaapkamer en het gebrek aan mobiele internet dekking (+ max 3 apparaten op wifi). Ik zou er graag nog eens terugkomen.
