At the edge of the quiet village of Idskenhuizen, you'll find the recreation park with marina that has the same name. The ten stately villas at this holiday park are all located on the water, feature a jetty and are directly connected to the entire Frisian Lakes area. Book a classic or traditional sloop and sail via the Idskenhuistermeer to, for example, the pleasant town of Lemmer with its beautiful sandy beach. The well-known Tjeukemeer and Slotermeer (with the smallest "Elfstedenstad" Sloten) are also fantastic to experience from the water.
Although Friesland is of course mainly known for its water (sports), there are plenty of activities you can do with solid ground under your feet. The versatile city of Heerenveen and Sneek, with their beautiful historic centre, are both only 20 km from the holiday park.

For watersports lovers, you can walk and reach the activity area. A day trip to the lakeside is also possible.
