Your own sloop during your holiday! On the banks of the 350 hectare Schildmeer and at the edge of the village of Steendam, you will find Villapark Schildmeer. From the park you have access to 600 km of navigable water nearby. Fantastic for taking boat trips through the natural surroundings and the many charming villages of Groningen. All of this with your own 6 person sloop, which you can use during a stay from April to October. But there is more than water. It is possible to hit a ball on a brand new golf course (9 holes) 250 metres from the park. The area has fortresses, churches and museums and forms a beautiful area to take walking and cycling excursions. Thanks to the location in the heart of the province, there are various tourist attractions at hand, such as the famous hanging kitchens in Appingedam and the historic fortress town of Bourtange. You can't miss a visit to the bustling town of Groningen. Everyone looking for peace and quiet or who just can't get enough of water sports, this small holiday park feels like home. You'll have a villa equipped with all comforts. You can take windsurfing and kitesurfing lessons and hire kayaks. Children can play on the playground and the sandy beach.
This charming holiday home in Steendam offers a relaxing getaway with modern comforts. Specifics
- For a stay between April 20 and October 30 you have a 6 person sloop, with which you can explore the Groningen waters. The sloop is included in the rental of a villa (including 1full tank of gas and excluding service/instruction costs EUR 50,00). You can moor at your own villa. There is a deposit for this of EUR 115.
- You pay a 20 EUR deposit for the gate key.
- The park offers various classes for wind and kite surfing through Surfcenter.nl. You an also hire kayaks. More information via www.surfcenter.nl.
- The interior of the accommodation can differ slightly from the pictures. However, the level of comfort is as described
- You will receive a cost overview by email from the park for the additional costs/local costs. You are required to pay this account before your arrival. This will avoid unnecessary delays on checking in and you will then be able to start your holiday immediately
- For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters
- Reservations for groups of persons under 21 years of age are not permitted
- This holiday home is available for recreational purposes only. Bookings on behalf of companies will be cancelled and possible cancellation costs will be charged
- Pets need to be mentioned during the booking process due to limited availability

Keurig huis met verzorgde tuin aan het water. Alle faciliteiten aanwezig en werkend. Uitleg gehad over het gebruik van de sloep die bij het huis hoorde. De omgeving was mooi en veel gelegenheid om te varen. Prima dus!

wir wurden superfreundlich begrüßt und uns wurde sofort weitergeholfen. Die Unterkunft war einfach klasse, alle waren begeistert. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und mit dem naheliegenden Appingedamm als Tagesziel für unsere Kajakgruppe einfach ideal. immer wieder gerne.

We werden vriendelijke ontvangen bij aankomst en alles werd goed uitgelegd, het huis was zeer gezellig en huiselijk en goed schoon. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug.

Es war dort wirklich sehr schön, der Service war super und alle waren sehr gastfreundlich. Die Ruhe dort, einfach wahnsinn. Das Schöne war auch, dass wir ein eigenes Boot hatten. Herrliche Natur und so erholsam!

Het huisje was pas gerenoveerd en zag er keurig uit. Gezellige inrichting direct aan het water met een sloepje voor de deur. Jammer dat er geen kussens bij de boot zaten. Leuke vaarroutes en erg rustig op het water ondanks het hoogseizoen.

Mooi huis en lekker rustig. Vond het alleen vreemd dat we bij aankomst alleen een sleutel kregen en verder geen info mapje. Ook in het huisje lag niets over bv wat te doen met bedlinnen bij vertrek of wat er te vinden was op het park. Wat wij ervan hebben gezien, was er alleen een restaurant wat overigens erg goed was, maar een winkel heb ik niet gezien. Er hingen vooral boven enorm veel spinnenwebben en het bedlinnen en de handdoeken waren geseald in plastic maar stonken ontzettend muf. Jammer.

Wij hebben ons prima vermaakt. Helaas was het weer niet zo goed en hebben we daardoor vrijwel geen gebruik gemaakt van de boot. Het huisje beviel prima, alleen de bedden vonden wij te zacht(persoonlijke mening).
