Stylish Farmhouse Escape

Erve Woolderink is situated in the town of Wierden, Twente. This attractive holiday farmhouse has been owned by the Woolderink family since 1400. The farm consists of a characteristic farmhouse and shed (both are listed monuments) and two haystack cottages, where you can stay amidst the friendly Aberdeen Angus cows. This organic farm is a fully functioning farm and you and the children are welcome to take part. Have a look around, get fresh eggs from the chickens and get to experience nature in a fun way. There are also a few go-karts and a trampoline and bicycles can be rented. A large part of the property consists of woodlands, where children can play in natural surroundings to their hearts' content.

The river De Regge flows along the farm. Follow its course for a beautiful walk or cycling tour. De Regge is suitable for canoeing and fishing as well. The natural surroundings, including the Sallandse Heuvelrug, are interesting enough, but the area has more to offer! Like the attractive villages nearby, such as Enter (around 4 km) and Rijssen (around 5 km). You could consider international outings too - a visit to the German town of Bad Bentheim (around 53 km) for example.
