Ski resorts of Reitherkogel and Alpbachtal
A modern gondola takes you from Reith im Alpbachtal to the small, family-friendly ski resort of Reitherkogel (1337 m) in only 5 minutes, where you will find various descents suitable for beginners and children. Reith also offers night skiing and a skating rink, as well as 6 km-long panoramic natural toboggan run, the Panoramaweg, that starts at the Reither Kogel mountain station. Hikers can enjoy 40 km of winter hiking trails, including a scenic trail on the Reitherkogel. Guided snowshoe and torch-lit tours are also organised! The Reitherkogel and Wiedersbergerhorn together form the Alpbachtal skiing area which, with its 54 km of well-prepared slopes and a snow park (for beginners and families), is known for its varied slopes. Alpbachtal falls under the Kitzbüheler Alpen skiing area, where you can access 357 lifts and 1081 km of slopes with the ‘All Star Card’.
