Its location at the foot of the Eiger Nordwand is unique, nestled amidst the breathtaking Alpine landscape and surrounded by impressive mountains like the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and Wetterhorn. The winter sports town of Grindelwald has a moderate après-ski scene and a wide selection of shops, restaurants, bars and a few discotheques. Grindelwald also has a sports centre with a curling hall, indoor ice skating rink, climbing hall, indoor swimming pool, sauna and large indoor (Duits: Seilpark/ engels: Rope park)rope park. You can also go on a fantastic sleigh ride here!  If, during your winter sports holiday, you'd like to learn more about the local history of Grindelwald, you can visit the local museum. In Grindelwald, the old-fashioned Velogemel (a snow bicycle) is a popular means of transport. Make sure to try one!
