Les Mosses is a small, quiet family ski area, with 40 km of trails and 13 lifts. It is located in the heart of the alps in the canton of Vaud and easily reachable via auto (20 km from the main thoroughfares). A winter sports holiday in Les Mosses is ideal for families with children; children up to 9 years of age ski free, there is a day care facility and a ?snow children?s village? with open trails and ?magic carpet? which you can see from a sunny terrace. For snowboarders there are 2 snowparks and 2 boardercross runs. If you want more of a challenge, there is a ski bus connection to the ski village of Leysin (100 km of trails). Thus if you are settled in a chalet or holiday home in Les Mosses, there is enough to do!
Les Mosses, the largest nordic ski area in the Vaud
In Les Mosses you can take advantage of 42 kilometers of nordic trails (of which 850 m are lighted). Not want to hit the planks? Get to know the white landscape via a wintertime snowshoe trek (raquettes). There are 56.6 cm of paths between Les Mosses ? La Lechette and Pays d?Enhaut and guided tours are offered through the ski school. In addition there are two snow tubing tracks, and naturally an ice rink, and there are dogsled rides offered. If you want to really make it exciting, you can go ice diving in the lake of Lioson (diving certificate required). Naturally, a lovely stay in a comfortable apartment or chalet will make your holiday complete.
