If you prefer to explore the German interior, you can visit cities such as Emden with its Nannen-Kunsthalle, Oldenburg with its Schloss and Lamberti Kirche, or Bremen, an old port city with an historic centre.

With over 2,400 kilometres, this nature reserve stretches all the way to the southern North Sea coast of Cuxhaven. You will find mudflats, dunes, peat bogs, woods, heathland and salt landscapes. The seven Frisian Islands are very popular with tourists with their beautiful sandy beaches, dune areas and nature. From here you can go on a mudflat walk, enjoy the beautiful nature in peace and quiet during a trip by wadwagen (horse and cart), or go on a mini-cruise to spot seals. You will also find various wellness centres and spas during your holiday on the North Sea coast. The spa town of Büsum, for example, is a popular, traditional spa town. Find relaxation from your holiday home on the North Sea coast, and relax during a day of massages, saunas and facials.

Off the coast at St. Peter-Ording, lies the National Park Schleswig-Holsteinisches Wattenmeer, an exceptional nature reserve. During your holiday on the North Sea coast you can visit the information centre in this city, where you will learn more about the fascinating world of the Frisian islands. Take a trip to the largest and most northerly island, Sylt. This is a beautiful nature reserve with white sandy beaches, steep coastlines and thatched roof houses. Or visit Helgoland which is known for its red rocks. After all these trips, if you have any time left, take a trip to the historic towns of Lübeck or Schleswig during your holiday on the North Sea coast. It is an absolute must!
