Nendaz (1350 m) is located in the Rhône Valley in Valais in the Les Quatre Vallées skiing region. Nendaz is actually made up of several areas, Basse-Nendaz (992 m) and Haute-Nendaz, which includes the historic village of Nendaz-Station (1325 m). Haute-Nendaz/ Nendaz-Station, from where the ski resort is accessed, is a friendly, charming winter sports village with shops, restaurants and bars, a Centre Sportif (sports centre), with a skating rink, illuminated toboggan run, snow tubing, squash and workout facilities. Haute-Nendaz also offers plenty of possibilities to explore the surroundings on a snowshoe trek or on cross-country skis. Nendaz bears the 'Families Welcome’ label, which means it also has plenty of facilities for children, including a day-care centre and KinderClub as well as a Ludothèque (toy and book library).
